Privacy policy
At Dreamflight we are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. If you provide information that identifies you, we will only use it in accordance with this privacy notice.
How we collect information from you
We will collect and store information about you whenever you interact with us. For example, when you make a donation, submit an enquiry, nominate a child, apply to be a volunteer, purchase Dreamflight merchandise or give us any other personal information.
Information we will collect from you
Ordinarily, we will ask you to supply your name, address, email address and telephone number(s). If you are making a donation, we will also ask you for bank/card details or direct debit information, Gift Aid information or employment details (for Give As You Earn). If you are applying for a job or to be a volunteer, or nominating a child, we will also ask you for your date of birth and specific information relating to your qualifications/experience/skills and/or information needed for you to be a part of the Dreamflight trip itself.
If you wish to nominate a child, we will record the details of the child as provided by you. We will ask you to confirm specifically that you are entitled to provide this information either because you are the child’s parent or legal guardian, or because you have their specific consent to provide the information. Full consent will be obtained as a part of the completion of the nomination documentation.
How we use your information
We require your personal information in order to process donations, provide you with goods and services, consider your ability to become a volunteer or employee of Dreamflight, consider a nomination for a child to experience Dreamflight and to ensure that we are holding accurate and up to date information about you.
We will only contact you with information you have requested or which you would reasonably expect to receive and in line with any contact preferences you have given to us. We will hold your information for as long as necessary to carry out the relevant purpose, or as needed for legal or audit purposes.
You have the right to ask us to remove data held about you. This we will do unless we need to retain the information for legal or audit purposes (in which case we will remove it as soon as the purpose is fulfilled), or if it relates to a current child nomination where removing your data would make it difficult or impossible to proceed with that nomination (in which case we will remove it as soon as reasonably possible).
Protecting your information
We will make every reasonable effort to keep your details secure and will only share them as necessary to fulfil the purposes of Dreamflight (or as may be required to fulfil a legal or audit obligation). In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect from you.
Except as required by law, we will never share your information with other organisations. Similarly, we do not purchase data from any third party.
Transmission of information over the internet is never completely secure. We will do our best to protect information transmitted to our website but cannot guarantee the security of it, if given this way. However, any credit card details given via our website are passed securely to our payments processor, according to the Payment Card Industry Security Standards. These details will not be stored on our website
Your consent
By giving us your personal information, you consent to us collecting and using that information in the ways that we describe in this privacy notice and/or that you have specifically consented to. You also consent to us transferring your information to countries or jurisdictions which may not provide the same level of data protection as the UK. This will only be done if absolutely necessary for the purposes detailed above and we will seek to put in place reasonable procedures to ensure your details are protected.
We will only send you marketing information if you have given us specific consent. If you amend your consent, we will comply with the most recent preferences given.
